Q. How much does it cost?
A. The event is free, but we do ask to help support the lanparty by giving a donation. Any donation we receive will go to buy soda and any equipment needs. Anything left over will go to the church for allowing us to use their location. Also, if you want to participate in the pizza run, we ask you to bring $3 for that.
Q. What else is in the area location?
A. There are plently of places to shop in the area. There
is a BestBuy and a Circuit City
with tons of shopping and restaurants also in the area.
Q. What should I or should I not bring?
A. You should bring your computer, monitor, power cables,
power strip, network cable (cat 5 at least 10 feet), keyboard,
mouse, headphones, and any software you may need such as
operating systems, drivers, games, and updates.
"DO NOT" bring any
UPS's, speakers, or anything that may cause any extra power
draw. No alcohol, drugs, and weapons. Just use common sense.
Q. What kind of games do you play
?
A. Pretty much anything goes. UT2004, Fear, Battlefield series, America's Army, Age of Empires 3, but if there
is somthing you would like to play that is not being played
let a staff member know and well will try to get something
running for you.
Q. Will there be an internet connection
?
A.Yes there will be, but as far as speed we are unsure.
We know it is some form of broadband, so it should be enough
for basic browsing and downloads of updates, drivers, and
patches (we will try to have updates for the games we play
available on a file server). We will be keeping a close
watch on the connection and will not tolerate any form of
internet Peer to Peer trading or leaching, so please if
you want stuff like that do it at home.
